What are Ekium Belgium’s key figures?
Ekium Belgium, part of the international SNEF group, has been established in Charleroi for over 20 years and in Liège since 2023. We now have more than 50 multidisciplinary professionals who are capable of handling all phases of a project, from feasibility studies to facility qualification. Our turnover for 2025 will be €8.5 million.
Could you tell us about your expertise?
Our expertise focuses on controlled environments and complex infrastructures in the healthcare industry. This covers clean rooms, aseptic areas, biosafety, radioactivity containment, climate chambers, animal facilities, specialised laboratories and hospital pharmacies.
We also integrate expertise in ultra-pure installations and process equipment (isolators, decontamination systems, etc.) and offer a comprehensive vision thanks to our engineers, project managers, construction managers and EHS managers.
What services do you offer your clients?
We offer an integrated and personalised approach, including:
- Consulting and project definition (gathering user requirements, QA, GMP, maintenance, EHS, etc.)
- Feasibility studies and multidisciplinary engineering
- Project management and EPCM, EPC site management
- Qualification of installations in a GMP environment.
Thanks to our membership of the SNEF group, we are also expanding our offering to include Industry 4.0, cybersecurity, sustainability and industrial performance.

What are your main references in Belgium?
We work for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, hospital and nuclear medicine industries.
In the hospital sector, we are particularly involved in projects for hospital pharmacies and specialised laboratories with high levels of constraints (contamination control, biosecurity, etc.).
Could you tell us about your current projects in Belgium?
Our current projects mainly concern the modernisation and creation of hospital and pharmaceutical infrastructure in the Walloon region, with a particular focus on GMP quality and sustainability. We support our clients on clean room and critical area projects where flexibility and innovation are essential.
What are your development prospects in this country?
We want to consolidate our local presence in Wallonia while strengthening our ties with the Belgian healthcare ecosystem. The opening of our office in Liège in 2023 is part of this dynamic.
Following on from this establishment, we also aim to strengthen our presence in Flanders in order to develop balanced national coverage.
Our objective is to increase collaborations in the hospital and pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on sustainability, digitalisation and the energy performance of infrastructure.
